The People’s Gallery presents selected 24-image exhibitions within the Museum For A Rainy Day.
It operates as a curated museum exhibition. Each submission is considered as a complete exhibition rather than as individual works. Sequencing, coherence, and conceptual clarity are central to review.
Exhibition Model
A submission must function as a unified exhibition.
Galleries may take the form of a:
- cohesive body of work
- defined retrospective
- thematic or formal exploration
What matters is how the works operate together as a complete presentation.
Inclusion depends on the strength of the exhibition as presented and its alignment with the People’s Gallery model.
Media Eligibility
The People’s Gallery accepts image-based works, including:
- Painting
- Drawing
- Illustration
- Photography
- Printmaking
All works are exhibited digitally within the Museum environment.
Selected exhibitions are presented using one of the Museum’s designated formats: wood frame, metal frame, or canvas presentation.
Because works are realized through digital images, they are not displayed at exact physical scale. Photographed paintings and drawings may appear larger or smaller than their real-world dimensions.
Curatorial Review
The People’s Gallery is not an open upload platform. All submissions undergo curatorial review.
Each gallery shared with MFARD is reviewed individually.
Curatorial consideration includes:
- Artistic originality and intent
- Coherence and clarity of presentation
- Suitability for exhibition within a virtual museum environment
The review process is deliberative and ongoing.
Due to volume and curatorial scope, the Museum does not provide individual feedback on galleries that are not selected.
Inclusion reflects curatorial alignment with the People’s Gallery framework and does not constitute a judgment of artistic worth.
Original Work Requirement
Only original works are eligible for submission.
The Museum does not accept:
- AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork
- Works that substantially replicate existing copyrighted material
- Submissions where authorship cannot be clearly established
By submitting work, artists confirm that they are the original creator and that they hold the necessary rights for exhibition.
Submission Process
Submissions to the People’s Gallery are made through GROW, the artist commons of Museum For A Rainy Day.
Artists prepare a 24-image exhibition within GROW and formally submit it for review. Only exhibitions submitted through GROW are considered for inclusion.
